Design your Kids Furniture

This is one activity that will not only enhance your bonding moment with your kid but at the same time enhance her creativity and imagination. All you and your daughter have to do is to design your kids outdoor furniture. If you have a kids furniture that is not exactly expensive and somehow doesn't look that good, you can start to make it look better by decorating it. Talk to your kid for this activity. As a reward for her, she can have an input of ideas and at the same time you will prepare sumptuous snacks for her.

Set one afternoon in making this activity. Talk to your kid and ask her how she would like to design her cheap kids furniture. Maybe she can glue some ribbons and place some cute butterfly designs on the side. Make a list of the things you need like scissors, glue gun, magazine cut outs, ribbons among others. If you were able to talk about the things you will need then start the afternoon by taking out all the contents of the furniture. Place it on the table so that you don't have to fix it anymore. Bring out the materials you will need and then start to decorate your furniture.

In decorating the furniture for kids, make some input also. For example you could ask your daughter to write her favorite inspirational quote on a colored paper using a colored pen and then cut it out and put it on another colorful paper. Then glue it on the side of the furniture where she can see the quote so that she would be inspired every time she would see it. You can also post your pictures together making a collage so that she will remember all the happy times you had together. All of these can help your child to have a positive disposition on her life. You could also write something on the furniture itself using a marker and tell her how much you love her. Place a date after so that she would remember it always.

Make sure that the glues are all dried up and all the loose ends are tied up. Make sure that the pictures doesn't fall and her quote are  intact and visibly seen. Let your kids furniture dry for about an hour or two. Remove the stains and the cut papers and ribbons afterwards and throw it in the thrash can. Clean the furniture and leave it for a while. You and your kid can have a snack while waiting for it to dry up. Take pictures of it so that you will remember it and then you can even post it on the sides.

Once the children furniture is dried up and ready to use, you can now return the things inside it. Be careful that the ribbons or cut papers and designs might fall. Help your kid arrange her books and toys inside. Now that it is ready for use, you can take pictures of it with your daughter. This is a great bonding moment that encourages your child's creativity and imagination.
